The Kelley's
Born, and raised in Southern Illinois, Louie & Armita Kelley married in 1927, and,
built their house in 1937.  They raised four boys, Louis, Richard, Gary, and Mickey.

Louie was the Union County Treasurer for several years.  Tax collection was one
of his duty's, you'll notice,  the railing at the lodge upstairs is an old tax window
from the courthouse, it's classic!
Armita was a registered nurse with Union County Hospital for many years, until
she joined her husband at the clerks office, where they both retired.

The Kelley's were happily  married for 76 years, until they both passed at the age
of 95!  In 1995, they lost there youngest son Mickey to a brain tumor.  They had 10
grandchildren,  and took several vacations after they retired.  Their grandson
Steve,  son of Mickey,  and his wife, Diana,  have now renovated their loving home
into an authentic, relaxing, retreat.

Dedicated to Gramma, & Grampa Kelley....and you, Dad.
